Through no fault (or illegality) of their own, “Public Storage” is the poster-child for what’s wrong with American society.

As noted here, one in 11 Americans pays for space to store the material overflow of the American dream.

I’ve written about this for a few years now, as the addiction to believing making more money, buys more stuff, and that leads to more happiness, grows (thanks to Wall Street and Madison Avenue ad agencies).

And in the midst of all the trade war talk with China, I hear no one noting that one of the major reasons we have such an imbalance is America’s expanding desire to have more stuff, even if it means indebting ourselves to our eyeballs. Look at what we import from China versus what they import from us.
