Please join us at a series of upcoming events that he will be hosting at Freehold Raceway and Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment. In addition to the sports celebrities, the events at Freehold Raceway will also include fundraising and awareness for several worthy organizations.

“Little did I know more than 50 years ago, when I first snuck into the Yonkers Raceway, that I was entering a lifelong passion for the sport of harness racing,” said Peter Grandich of Peter Grandich & Company. “During these upcoming events, my wife Mary and I are pleased to host some of our sports celebrity friends while also enjoying a sport we both love. However, the greatest appreciation comes from also being able to support a variety of most worthy charitable causes.”

The first of three events that Peter Grandich and Company will be hosting at Freehold Raceway is the Veterans Day Pace on Saturday, November 11th. The special guest celebrity will be New York Rangers fan favorite, Nick Fotiu, and the designated charity will be Vetwork, which has a mission and purpose to meet the immediate and long-term needs of Ocean County Veterans. The organization seeks to provide a continuum of care with their services and enable Veterans to maintain, or achieve, self-sufficiency.

The next scheduled event will be the Turkey Trot Race on Friday, November 24th, which is the day after Thanksgiving. Special guests include two-time Stanley Cup champion and New Jersey Devils alumnus, Grant Marshall, along with his wife and former Olympic skater, Sinead Kerr. The event will support The Blessing Bag Brigade, which is committed to aiding the homeless and educating the public about homelessness.

Following up that event will be the Toys for Tots Race on Saturday, December 9th, where Freehold Raceway will be collecting monetary and toy donations for children in need. Since its inception, Marine Toys for Tots has distributed more than 627 million toys, books and games to over 281 million children. Attending the race will be Philadelphia Flyers Hall of Famer and former NHL player, Brian Propp.

During these events at Freehold Raceway, all sports celebrities can be met in the Renaissance Room on the second floor of the Grandstand. Parking and admission to Freehold Raceway is free. Additionally, attendees are welcome to bring an item to be autographed by the sports celebrities, as well as take a photo with them.

The final event will take place at Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment on Saturday, December 16th, where Peter Grandich will be joined by New York Jets legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer, Joe Klecko. A free autograph session with Joe Klecko will occur in the racetrack lobby from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
