This time last year, I wasn’t in Hell, but I could see it from where I was. For several months, I struggled unlike any other period in my 67 years on Earth.
But thanks be to God, I am still here and much better for it.
While we’re all sinners saved by Grace, this time of year brings the better side out of most of us. Sadly, before too long after our New Year’s Resolutions, we fall back into our failed human nature with the next Thanksgiving many months in the future.
For some, this time of year (Thanksgiving through New Year’s Day) is a very hard time to deal with.
I began saying the following prayer daily, this time last year, and hope to say it every day for the rest of my life. Please join me:
