March 17th has become a day of great significance to me, thanks to a wee-little Island in the North Atlantic, Ireland, becoming so intertwined in my life.
I have described it as a real-life, “fairytale”.
My “Irish-Lass” wife and I, begin this weekend with a special “Stations of The Cross”, at a Church that has so much meaning to her and I, St. Veronica’s, in Howell, NJ.
We then carry on a tradition of sponsoring an “Irish Harness Drivers” race, begun in 2014, and now thankfully hosted by the mecca of Harness Racing, The Meadowlands. It’s this Saturday night.
On Sunday, we partake in an Irish party where we live and donated this great door prize (right color for the day).
Monday, we visit the “Irish Riviera”, Spring Lake:
An absolute must stop while there, a place that makes like you stepped into Ireland (Owners are friends and clients):
And of course, a period in time when a dream came true for me (living there, no, but working there, yes):
Sadly, the day after St. Patrick’s Day, will forever be my saddest day of the year and will share why on that day. For now:
