Forty-seven years ago today, “Disco Pete” arrived at Mary Troy’s apartment for their first date. He took her to Pizza & Brew in Scarsdale, New York. The next evening, they went to Rye Playland and shared their first kiss on the Flume ride. Six weeks later, they were engaged, and on April 20, 1981, they were married in Birr, County Offaly, Ireland.
