The next few weeks may be the most consequential for NTCPF since I became a shareholder. They begin with this week’s Denver Gold Show, the premier gathering of the world’s leading mining companies. It also seems significant that the company’s chairman—one of the most successful mining executives I have encountered in my 42-year career—will attend.
Last week’s show was far less important, especially for a company like NTCPF that is entering the big leagues. The company has already taken several steps that reflect this ambition, and Sam Lee’s presentation last week highlighted the sharp increase in institutional interest. To compete at this level, NTCPF must act and present itself as a major player. Retail investors may not fully appreciate this reality because most of their other holdings never reach it.
After speaking with an impeccable source—quite frankly, the best I have encountered in my 42-year career—who has equally strong contacts, and after reading between the lines of the two latest research reports by analysts who attended recent site visits and company presentations (I believe the first-half exploration results Sam mentioned last week are still pending. The second-half program began two weeks ago, and each program has a budget of about $10 million), the forthcoming results could reveal a much larger, more robust resource than is currently known. If so, releasing them during this week’s show would make sense. A delay may simply mean that drilling in the second program is intended partly to confirm indications from the first. Sam also said the IPD could arrive within two weeks, possibly with those drill results. Retail shareholders may need to adjust to fewer releases about individual holes or small groups of holes, which are more typical of junior miners. As I have said, NTCPF is clearly doing everything it can to become a major player.
A near-perfect storm of bullish factors continues to align for NTCPF, including the Canadian government’s recent, highly favorable fiscal changes affecting mining and development. Sam noted last week that the B.C. Ministry of Mines remains highly proactive in working with the company, and the federal government now appears to be firmly on board as well.
Sam will present at the Denver Gold Show tomorrow at 9:20 a.m. local time.
