I’m gauging interest in a one-day gathering in West Virginia where I would spend at least four hours sharing my observations on the financial markets.

One item high on my bucket list is meeting Father Chapin, a wonderful priest who has inspired me and countless others, while also enjoying a longtime passion of mine—greyhound racing, which began when I first visited Ireland.

Father Chapin is near the Mardi Gras Casino & Resort in Cross Lanes, West Virginia, which also offers greyhound racing. My idea is to host the gathering in a resort conference room for up to 40 attendees, with a morning session from about 10:00 a.m. to noon, a lunch break, and an afternoon session from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

I would request a $250-per-person donation to the good Father’s ministry. You would also be welcome to stay longer, as I hope to spend a few days there enjoying the racing and sightseeing.

For now, I’m simply trying to determine whether there is genuine interest. If you are interested, please email me at peter@petergrandich.com. If the idea seems feasible, I’ll work out the details and follow up with those who reached out.

The tentative timeframe is late September, when we hope to enjoy the fall foliage.

You are not required to stay at the resort, though Mary and I plan to do so.

I’ve sung this song enough times that it’s time to finally live it:
