I was deeply blessed to become best friends with a modern-day prophet who had the greatest influence on my life, in both joyful and difficult seasons. His name was Bill Wegner. For decades, Bill served as a full-time Catholic evangelist—something my Protestant friends seemed to view as a contradiction in terms. Sadly, Bill passed away suddenly in 2022 and his loss became a major factor in the deepest depression I would experience shortly afterward.

Romans 8:28 says, “God works together with those who love him to turn everything for good, specifically for those who are called according to his purpose.” I would come to understand that truth in a powerful way through two men who entered my life before Bill’s passing.

One of them began as a client, but he and his brother became dear friends. His name is Dwayne Miller. Many readers will also know Michael Gentile. Although neither man could replace Bill, the lessons Bill shared with me—and with the tens of thousands who attended his missions over the years—focused on the importance of every Christian living out Mark 16:15 each day for the rest of our earthly lives. Through the Apostles Fund, Dwayne and Michael are doing just that.

Many readers know Michael through the great success they have had following his personal investments in the junior resource sector. I have benefited greatly from that as well, but the far greater return has been becoming close friends and sharing our Catholic Christian faith.

Ironically, Dwayne Miller became the one client I sometimes mention as the only person who fully listened to my financial market outlook at the end of 2021. He not only exited most of his bonds but also began investing in gold for the first time and later joined Michael in his investments. Together, they were moved to start the Apostles Fund.

I encourage you to watch this video to see another side of Michael—one many have not yet been blessed to know—and to learn more about the Apostles Fund.
