Having battled high anxiety, panic attacks, and depression since childhood, to the point of feeling life wasn’t worth living multiple times, I would finally conclude that my saving Grace was Romans 8:31.
“If God is for us, who can be against us?”, means that because God is actively on the side of believers, supporting, loving, and defending them, no opposing force—whether spiritual, circumstantial, or human—can ultimately succeed or separate them from His purpose. It is a declaration of absolute security and confidence in God’s favor.”
When I share my battles, whether through public speaking or through my book, no one jumps up and says “me too”. But when privacy is afforded, either publicly or by email, so many times folks express gratefulness that someone not only confirms they are not alone, but is willing to speak about it in a sincere concern.
The worse economic, social, and political times continues to grow for many, despite the false premise that many in the financial services industry have portrayed that has only benefited the upper echelon. This false hope, is only making the masses be set up for even a harder struggle.
Meanwhile, a battle has been underway for a couple thousand years and no one, not even the elite, are spared from it. I can assure you, few if any in the financial services industry, would dare speak about it as trust me, it’s a business killer more times then not.
But knowing what I have gone through to get to this point, wearing my Catholic Christian faith on my sleeve is really a gift from God. The real reward from it is the single best gift any of us can ever obtained – eternal life with God.
So I write this for two reasons:
1 – You’re not alone. Just know that there is the other side and to get to it, embrace Romans 8:31 in everything.
2 – There’s an enemy who’s sole goal is to destroy us and send us to eternal damnation. Understand and embrace the following, and your battles will be better understood on how to deal with it:
Just know this:
Peace Be With You – Peter Grandich
