On the belief that America has entered its worst-ever economic, social, and political era that few can ill-afford to see losses of principle in their equity portfolios, there’s finally an investment product that can be worthy to many who are willing to give up a part of potential gains, in exchange for a guarnteed they can’t lose their principal.

This product is far from perfect, and quite frankly, 20-years ago, I wouldn’t touch them with a ten-foot pole. But thankfully, they have become quite suitable for retirees and those assets put away for retirement.

My concern is not what the stock market may do next week or next month, but what it may do to those who can’t afford potential losses. For those, giving up some upside for no downside in the environment shaping up for years to come, seems like a worthy consideration. You can decide for your self. But remember:
