Even as a die-hard NJ Devils fan, I’ll gladly wear the Blue and White for one New York Rangers great: Nick Fotiu.
I first met Nick at one of our favorite places, Monmouth Park Racetrack, and our friendship has grown stronger over the years.
Nick is always the first to answer my call when a worthy charity needs help, and no professional athlete is kinder to fans.
That is why it was so meaningful to see him inducted into the New York State Hockey Hall of Fame.
After being on the receiving end of more than one of Nick’s practical jokes, I still look forward to the next one if it means spending time with him.
It was my honor to have a racehorse named Nick Fotiu:
