Among the many crises I highlighted in my “Mid-Year Commentary”, the retirement crisis is the one I see most clearly firsthand. I hear now from more people who believed they had sound retirement plans, only to find themselves shortchanged, or who have come to the painful realization that they will not experience the carefree retirement portrayed in financial services commercials. Even those with substantial savings often have not been given the full truth about how challenging this man-made concept of “retirement” really is (It’s not Biblically supported).

It may be easy for me to say, but for all of us, what truly matters is this:

I realize many people prefer comforting falsehoods to uncomfortable truths, especially those promoted daily by the financial services industry, but for me personally:
